The In-Between
is a series of works on paper made for my MFA Thesis (2017). Many have been exhibited in various locations across the United States, including California, Texas, Nebraska, West Virginia, and Michigan.
In this work, I consider what it means to exist in a state of too much or not enough: too many somatic imperfections, too much space occupied, too much or not enough feminine/masculine expression. By combining photography, printmaking, drawing, and the laser cutter, I create works on paper that examine the body in relation to sex, gender, and identity.
